This website is designed to give people all around the world a starting point for finding out about orphan charities and organisations. I hope that it will grow to be a comprehensive resource for those seeking to help orphaned and abandoned children world wide.
In 2008 I started to research international voluntary opportunities. I knew I wanted to work in Eastern European orphanages and spent hours combing through charity websites to find an organisation that met my needs. I found it difficult to get in contact with a lot of organisations. A few local ones didn’t even reply when I sent them emails basically saying “I want to donate money!”. I finally found an organisation that suited me well and spent 10 days in Ukraine helping at different orphanages. It was life changing. Knowing how difficult it was to find information and organisations, I decided to set up this website.
